A few things to know before you go.
What exactly is CobbleStop?
CobbleStop is a driving navigation app focused on smoother routes through Lviv. It compares a normal route with an option that avoids more mapped cobblestone, while staying within your chosen extra-time allowance. You see the difference and decide which route to take.
Does it avoid every cobblestone street?
Not always. Sometimes cobblestone is unavoidable, or avoiding it would exceed your extra-time limit. CobbleStop works with mapped road-surface data, and unknown surfaces may include cobblestone. The app shows the trade-off rather than promising a cobble-free trip.
Where does CobbleStop work?
CobbleStop currently focuses on the mapped Lviv area. It is built for driving, with mapped car-access rules, one-way streets, and turn restrictions. Always follow road signs and current conditions.
Does it include live traffic or work offline?
Current time estimates do not include live traffic. An internet connection is needed for maps, place search, and new routes. The iPhone app includes bundled surface data and Ukrainian voice recordings, but it does not provide downloadable offline maps.
Do I need a CobbleStop account?
The iPhone app does not require a CobbleStop account. Saved places and avoided road sections stay on your phone. Map, search, and route services use the information needed for those requests; the app asks for location permission when you use location features.
Where can I download it?
The iPhone app is in development and testing. Public download and release details are not available yet. CobbleStop is being built for iOS 17 and later, in Ukrainian and English.
